Lincoln Bishop University is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Senior Lecturer in Secondary ITE (Computing) to join our growing Faculty of Education. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced secondary practitioner and teacher educator to play a key role in preparing future teachers of computing.

This is a permanent, part-time position (0.4 FTE), offered on a Teaching & Scholarship contract (a Teaching & Research contract may be available for a suitably qualified candidate).

Due to the requirements of the programme, the successful candidate will be required to work on Mondays and Tuesday mornings.

As a Senior Lecturer in Secondary ITE, you will take a leadership role within our PGCE Secondary provision, contributing to programme design, teaching and assessment across campus based and partnership settings. You will work closely with colleagues, schools and external partners to ensure our trainees receive a rigorous, supportive and inspiring route into the profession.

What you will be doing:

• Leading and delivering engaging, research informed teaching across the Secondary Initial Teacher Education programme.
• Designing and delivering assessment and learning materials that inspire and challenge trainee teachers to develop high-quality knowledge and skills.
• Supporting, mentoring and monitoring trainee progress and professional development.
• Contributing to programme leadership, quality assurance and enhancement processes as a subject specialist expert.
• Supporting recruitment, admissions and partnership working with schools and sector organisations.
• Undertaking scholarship, knowledge exchange or publication aligned to your expertise.
• Playing an active role in the wider academic life of the University through committee engagement and academic leadership.

Who we're looking for:

• A relevant first degree with QTS or QTLS (a higher degree is desirable)
• Successful recent experience of teaching secondary Computing and engaging with Initial Teacher Education
• Strong knowledge of secondary education and Initial Teacher Education
• The ability to lead, collaborate and support colleagues and students
• A student centred, reflective and forward-thinking approach to teacher education
