The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world's leading public health universities. We are looking for an Epidemiologist/Parasitologist to support a Coefficient Giving funded project examining the effect of extending seasonal malaria chemoprophylaxis to school-aged children in Burkina Faso.
The post holder will principally be responsible for supporting the conduct of clinical and parasitological studies in Burkina Faso, including the analysis of retrospective data.
The successful applicant will have:
- A postgraduate degree, ideally a doctoral degree in a relevant topic
- Relevant experience in Malaria Epidemiological and/or lab studies
- Evidence of contributions to clinical trial development and/or management
- Experience with data handling and analysis
- Willingness to travel and support studies in rural areas in Burkina Faso
- Some experience in trial design, implementation and analysis (essential)
The post is fixed term until 30 June 2028 and full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE. The post is funded by Coefficient Giving and is available from 1 November 2026 or sooner.
The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £45,728 - £51,872 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary Wellbeing Days. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
