This is an opportunity to be part of the Accounts Receivable team within the Finance department at the University of Southampton.
As a Finance Apprentice in the Accounts Receivable Team, you will gain experience supporting the University's invoicing, income collection and customer service activities, while developing valuable skills and knowledge in a professional finance environment.
The apprenticeship will consist of a combination of learning on the job alongside fellow team members, together with off the job training and study provided by our training partner, Kaplan Financial.
Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, the position will be offered on a hybrid working basis.
Responsibilities include supporting invoicing, income collection and customer service activities within the Accounts Receivable team. You may also be given wider opportunities for development in the wider finance team.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated and keen to develop a career in finance. You will have good attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively.
You will be comfortable communicating with a range of people, providing excellent customer service and working collaboratively with colleagues. You will also have a willingness to learn new systems and processes, develop your knowledge and contribute positively to the success of the team.
No previous finance experience is required; however, an interest in finance, administration or business processes would be beneficial.
In year one of the apprenticeship, pay will be 60% of the lowest spine point value of Level 2a. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and end point assessment, pay will increase to 100% of the lowest spine point of Level 2a.
