We are seeking an organised and proactive Faculty Executive Coordinator to join the Faculty of Engineering & Design on a fixed-term maternity cover appointment, starting in December 2026 or January 2027.
Working at the heart of the Faculty, you will provide high-level support to the Dean, Deputy Dean, Associate Deans, Director of Operations and wider Executive team. You will coordinate priorities, meetings and activities, enabling senior leaders to deliver strategic objectives. The role also supports international partnerships, collaboration and global engagement, offering exposure to Faculty leadership and the opportunity to contribute to work with colleagues across the University and beyond.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience coordinating diaries, meetings, travel arrangements, events or projects.
- Be an excellent communicator, able to build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrate excellent judgement, particularly when handling sensitive or confidential information.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Be confident working independently, using initiative and managing competing priorities.
- Take a proactive, customer-focused approach and continually look for ways to improve processes and services.
- Enjoy working in a busy and varied environment.
- Be adaptable, collaborative and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
