Are you passionate about supporting students in their career development? Do you have strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders? Would you like to play a key role in enhancing employability and placement opportunities at the University of Leeds?
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Employability & Placements Officer to join our Student Careers team. Using your excellent organisation and networking skills, you will have the responsibility for coordinating employability and placement activity within the Faculty of Social Sciences, with a specific focus on providing careers support to students both home and international, extracurricular opportunity, employer visit days and event management. You will also be responsible for supporting the promotion of student employability opportunities and placement provision.
In the first instance you will be based in the Faculty of Social Sciences, however over the course of your role this may change according to business and personal development needs. This faculty-based Employability & Opportunity (E&O) Team ensures that students can access comprehensive career-enhancing opportunities, including industrial placements, study abroad, work-related learning and summer experiences.
Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role is not suitable for first-time Skilled Worker visa applicants.
