This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our Education and Initial Teacher Training (ITT) provision in the development and training of prospective teachers and the promotion of teaching and learning, research and reach-out activities across the faculty, in the vibrant School of Education at the University of Sunderland.
The School of Education is currently seeking to expand its pool of Academic Tutors to support with the design and delivery of our Secondary PGCE History Education with QTS programme.
Please note this is a fixed-term role until the end of January and there will be up to 30 hours available.
As an Academic Tutor in Initial Teacher Training, you will work within the ITT Team across the range of provision and engage in a number of activities, including:
- Development of teaching materials and high-quality delivery of these
- Marking of assessments
- Supporting trainee progress
- Supervision of trainees on practicum
Ideal candidates will hold a master's in education and should also have Qualified Teacher Status with proven expertise in their subject and phase.
